Marjorie Vawter comes from a long line of pastors, missionaries, and Bible teachers on both sides of the family, and is both naturally and spiritually gifted with teaching. For the past twenty years, the Lord has opened up for Marjorie opportunities to speak and/or teach at schools, conferences, retreats, women’s ministry meetings, and other venues. Marjorie is a trained Precept Ministries leader and has experience leading other types of Bible studies as well.

As a copy editor and proofreader, Marjorie helps other Christian writers bring glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. After reviewing the services Marjorie provides, please contact her for a free estimate of the service you desire. Marjorie looks forward to hearing from you. References are also available on request. Marjorie would love to meet you and see what she can do to help you become an effective writer's tool in the Master's hand.

Marjorie is the author of hundreds of publishing devotionals, articles, and book reviews, as well as both fiction and nonfiction books. A member of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) since 2004, she has served as the Colorado Area Coordinator, Central Zone Director, past president of the North Denver chapter, and a member of the Springfield, MO, chapter. Currently she writes from her home in Colorado.

Welcome to my website!

The LORD will guide you continually and provide for you, even in parched places. He will rescue your bones.
You will be like a watered garden, like a spring of water that won’t run dry.
They will rebuild ancient ruins on your account;
the foundations of generations past you will restore.
You will be called Mender of Broken Walls, Restorer of Livable Streets.

(Isaiah 58:11–12 CEB)

In 2005 , I stepped out by faith to “retire” from teaching to full-time freelance edit and write. Two years later, a dear friend prayed for me as I walked through a very difficult time. I was so spiritually parched I had nothing to give to anyone, let alone write. I had just told my agent she should let me go. But she refused. Then my friend told me what the Lord had shown her during the prayer time. Later I found those words almost word for word in Isaiah 58:11–12.

This site is a tangible reminder of the Lord’s continual guidance in my life. He has taken dreams I’ve cherished since childhood and molded them (and me) to His purposes . . . and the journey continues.

This site also reflects my love for Colorado, as I’m sure you’ve picked up on with the slide show on this page. My siblings and our children own a rustic cabin located in the Indian Peaks Wilderness area west of Boulder. The pictures are of the cabin, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the surrounding scenery. Lots of family history has taken place here, and it is the setting for several of my books.

I hope you will join me on this wonderful adventure of Discovering Foundations of Truth. Stay awhile; learn more about me, my books and speaking ministry, and my editing business, The Writer’s Tool Editing.

If we are not already connected on the social networks, please click on the links below. I have an author page on Facebook, as well.

Then visit my blogs—one for writers, the other for those who struggle with (or knows someone who does) depression and/or anxiety. My nonfiction book, Calming the Storm Within: God's Peace for Depression and Anxiety is available on my book page. My prayer is that it will be a help to many believers. The blog on this website is geared to supplement the book.

I’m so glad you have come to visit me here. Please check back frequently as I will be adding more content—especially on the resource pages. Let me know if there’s anything I can do for you or a need for which I can pray with you.
